Liverpool is currently weighing up an offer to sign Montenegrin striker Steven Jovetic from Manchester City after manager Manuel Pellegrini dropped him from his European squad in favour of new January signing Wilfried Bony.

Jovetic signed for City in 2013 from Fiorentina for £22 million, but has suffered with injuries and fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad.

Liverpool was also considering Jovetic back in 2013, but lost out on the 25-year-old to City, and while both Juventus and Inter Milan would like to take him back to Serie A they will face stiff competition from Liverpool.

Jovetic when fit, is an exciting player to watch and fits the profile perfectly for Brendan Rodgers team.

The question however is how much City will take for him as they look to recoup the £22 million they laid out and with Inter Milan set to sell Mauro Icardi and Juventus Paul Pogba, both clubs will have plenty of cash on hand for Jovetic.
