Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has come out and said that there is nothing in former Borussia Dortmund manager Jürgen Klopp’s exit contract to stop him raiding his former club for players.

He also claimed that there would be no harm done should the 48-year-old try to sign Dortmund players for his new club report the Liverpool Echo.

“One thing is clear, we at BVB have a very good relationship with Jürgen,” he told Die Welt.

“I think there would be no conflict were there to be interest in one of our players at some point. He would contact us before (he contacts the player).”

Watzke has also been impressed by the way Klopp has settled into the Premiership with Liverpool saying: “I am very happy for Jürgen that things are running that well after such a short space of time.”

“I did not expect that. I thought he’d need more time with the team given the style of his football.”
