Arsenal is considering a January move for Bordeaux all-rounder Henri Saivet to help provide cover for the injured Francis Coquelin according to Metro.
The 25-year-old Senegalese international started his playing career as a forward, but has since flourished for French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux playing a much deeper role this season as was evident during last Thursday night’s Europa League clash with Liverpool at Anfield where he scored in the 2-1 defeat to the Merseyside outfit.
With a relatively low valuation of just £3.5 million it was no surprise to see scouts from Everton, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Swansea and Bournemouth all in attendance at Anfield to watch the French youth level player, who even if Wenger does not sign for Arsenal is likely to end up in the Premiership sooner rather than later.
