Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had some good news for a change at his press conference ahead of Saturday’s game with Sunderland, and that was that he expects striker Daniel Sturridge to be back with the squad sometime this month.

Rodgers said that the striker’s rehabilitation in Los Angeles went well and that he will now complete the final phase at Liverpool’s Melwood training complex.

The excitement of having Sturridge back was written all over the managers face, and he said the Sturridge can now put his injury problems behind him and help the Reds in the second half of the season.
