According to the Sun newspaper West Bromwich Albion has told both Tottenham and Liverpool that England U-21 striker Saido Berahino is up for sale and will be sold to the highest bidder.

Sensibly the Baggies know there is no way that they were ever going to be able to hold onto one of England’s hottest prospects, and with the eminent arrival of new manager Tony Pulis, have decided that now is the right time to sell.

Liverpool have been mention as one possible destination, but with manager Brendan Rodgers saying that he expects the club to have a quiet January it could leave Spurs as the only big bidder.

With Adebayor unreliable, and Roberto Soldado failing to settle into the Premiership, Spurs are in the market for a striker and could very well land Berahino for around £20 million.
