Dutch club Feyenoord are desperate to hold on to their 16-year-old defensive midfielder Rodney Kongolo who is fast becoming one of the hottest midfield transfer targets in Europe attracting the attention of several top sides.
It was thought that a deal had been agreed for the Dutch starlet to join Manchester City, but since then Kongolo’s mother who is from the Congo DR has met with Liverpool officials at Anfield to discuss a possible summer move now leaving it up to the teenager to decide.
The Rotterdam club has tried three times to get the youngster to sign a new contract with the club where his older brother Terrence also plays but each time he refused to sign making a move to the Premiership seem the most likely option.
