Sky Sports is reporting that Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has agreed to join Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich next summer in a five-year deal that will run till 2019.

The 25-year-old Pole has scored 81 goals in 146 games since joining Dortmund from Lech Poznan in 2010.

The deal to the Allianz Arena is said to be worth 11 million euros a-year making him the second high profile player to join Bayern from Dortmund after Mario Götze made the move last summer for a fee believed to be 37 million euro’s.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is very happy to have completed the deal saying on the clubs official website: “We are very pleased that this transfer is successful.

“Robert Lewandowski is one of the world’s best strikers, he will strengthen the squad of FC Bayern and give us a boost.

“We are very pleased that today, from both sides, a five-year contract was signed until 2019.”

Dortmund currently trail Bundesliga leaders Bayern by 12 points with the Bavarians also having played a game less.
