Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is waiting on late fitness checks for Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana before deciding on his team to play Tottenham at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Brazilian Coutinho lasted 56 minutes before being substituted against Everton following a knee injury on Saturday while Sterling was taken off late on complaining of foot problems.

Adam Lallana meanwhile was not in the team for the match against Everton after complaining of a calf strain. Rodgers however hope that all three will be fit to face Spurs when the visitors arrive on a high following their weekend win over Arsenal.

“Phil Coutinho had a knock on his knee and Raheem had a knock on his foot,” Rodgers told the club’s official website.

“We had fresh players on the bench to bring on and hopefully they will be fit for Tuesday.”

On Lallana, the manager added: “We need to see how he is but he has a big possibility for Tuesday.”

Holding midfielder Lucas Leiva however could be out with a thigh injury for up to a month and will not feature in Tuesday nights match.
