Italian Serie A champions Juventus knowing that they could possibly lose Carlos Tevez this summer are lining up a bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani who joined the Parisians from Napoli in 2013 for 64€ million.

The Uruguayan has had to p[lay out of position for the French champions in order to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and has never lived up to the potential he showed in Italy where he scored 78 goals in 104 league games for the Partenopei.

With his future unsure at the Parc des Princes both Manchester United and Arsenal are thought to be weighing up summer offers for the 28-year-old.

The news coming out of Italy today suggests that Juventus flush with all the cash they will get from the sale of Paul Pogba is looking to bring Cavani back to Italy.

The Uruguayan front-man is under contract until 2018, and the latest interest from Juventus has the French giants hoping for a bidding war between them and the two English clubs.

But now, according to reports in Italy, Juventus are working hard to take him back to Serie A and have made enquiries about his availability.

Cavani is under contract until 2018 and PSG will hope that interest from England and Italy will spark a summer bidding war for the striker.
