Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer is now set to join PSG instead according to reports. The foemer Chelsea boss was said to have agreed a deal to join Manchester United but it appears the reports are not true and Mourinho will now replace Laurent Blanc as PSG’s manager.

This news if true will give credence to reports from the Netherlands claiming Louis Van Gaal has told people close to him he will continue as Manchester United’s manager for at least one season. The former Barca, Bayern Munich and Ajax manager has been under intense pressure as the Red devils have been very poor in the league this season.

Van Gaal was reportedly given a mandate to qualify United for the Champions league next season and immediately it began obvious that the chances of United playing in the champions league next season is on a scale of 10, less than 4, the rumour mills started claiming he would be sacked.

The news of Mourinho going to PSG will certainly not go down with Manchester United fans as most actually want Van Gaal sacked. And to be honest, after having spent over 200 million in the transfer market and still not having a team that can at least qualify for the Champions league, Van Gaal should be sacked.

He is in my opinion not getting sacked simply because Ed Woodward has refused to accept he made a mistake employing the Dutchman.
