manchester united,

Manchester United can as well give up hopes of landing Jose Mourinho as their manager next season if reports doing the rounds are true.

Independent News Service runs a story that Paris Saint Germaine have approached the Portuguese tactician, in view of his managing of the Los Blancos next season.

It is said that they are not happy with the input of current manager Laurent Blanc, despite his leading them to a fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title. They are reportedly set for a progress in UEFA champions League – a title that has eluded them even after  the takeover of the Qatari oil Billionaires.

They see Mourinho as the man to lead them to the ‘promise land’, and they are set to snatch him out of United grasp. The Red devils are in dire need of a manager, after Louis van Gaal had scuppered his chance of reviving the club. There are reports that Mourinho has told his friends that he is set for a move to Old Trafford, so the news of an impending move to PSG comes as a shock to the United fans.

If this report happens to hold water, it means that van Gaal could yet remain at the club or Ryan Giggs takes over the reins from the Dutchman.
