Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was seen last night in the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev dressed like a Jedi warrior in the hope that no one would recognise him.
And while there is plenty of speculation surrounding who he was there to watch the first two names that spring to mind are Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, and Celta Vigo forward Nolito.
There is of course the chance he was there to watch his own player’s Cesc Fabregas and Cesar Azpilicueta, but the finger points more towards 28-year-old Spanish forward Nolito, who has in the past also been linked with Arsenal and reports doing the rounds yesterday suggest Barcelona are keen to scupper any hopes either club have of signing him with a bid of their own.
The match ended 0-1 in favour of Spain, who has now qualified for Euro 2016 in France along with Slovakia from Group C.
