PHIL JAGIELKA is a £10million target for new Manchester United boss David Moyes.

The England centre-half is the THIRD Everton player on Moyes’ wishlist, along with Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.

Moyes, who will leave Everton for Old Trafford at the end of the season, signed Jagielka for £4m from Sheffield United six years ago.

An Everton insider said: “David loves Jags from top to bottom. He describes him as ‘absolute class’.

“If there is one player from here he will come back for, it will be Jags.

“They get on great and David considers it a pleasure to work with him.”

Moyes even turned down a £15m Arsenal bid for the player two years ago.

Interest in Jagielka, 30, also raises question marks over the futures of United centre-halves Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic as the champions enter a new era following Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

Veteran Ferdinand, 34, sees his £130,000 a week contract expire at the end of the season and is yet to be offered a new one.

While Vidic’s Old Trafford future is also in the balance after a terrible run of injuries.

The relatively inexperienced trio of Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones have had to hold the back line.

Moyes has also been linked with a £30m move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
