You would think that following such a humiliating 6-0 loss to Chelsea that Arsenal players would have done all they could to have avoided any sort of criticism, and while the players might have been quiet on Twitter the loss certainly did not stop themselves from going out and having a good time.
Photos emerged Monday of Mesut Özil, Nicklas Bendtner and Bacary Sagna all having a great time while attending a 24th birthday party for Özil’s German pop star girlfriend Mandy Capristo.
The German singer posted photo’s on Instagram saying ‘Unforgettable evening #thegracegatsby.’
Apparently the roaring 20’s lifestyle portrayed in F. Scot Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” was the theme of the party, and why not when these footballers make millions of pounds every year they can afford to swill Champagne and party like the cream of society.
Even Özil who is out injured posted a photo of the party on his Facebook page leading one Gooner to write: ‘Nice to see someone is having fun after we lost 6 nil . I would recommend whoever you pay to manage your social media takes a break for a while! And if you do it yourself you need a better advisor!!!’
