Spotted amongst the Arsenal fans at the Emirates on Sunday was French striker Loic Remy adding to the speculation that he will be signing for Arsenal.

The on-loan at Newcastle forward scored his 14th goal of the season on Saturday against Cardiff City in a 3-0 defeat that sees the Bluebirds relegated.

The 27-year-old is expected to sort his future out before the World Cup in June, and although Newcastle would like to make his loan from QPR a permanent deal it is very unlikely that he will be returning to Tyneside having already said he would like to play in the Champions League next season.

Arsenal have been one of the possible destinations suggested with manager Arsene Wenger known to be in the market for a striker to play alongside Olivier Giroud, and the sight of Remy in the crowd already has Gunner fans talking.

Wenger is known to be a fan of Remy but gave nothing away after the game according to the Daily Mail saying:’I have just been informed Loic Remy was here. I honestly did not know,’ he said, ‘I hope he paid for his ticket.’

Remy is known to be fond of the life in London and recently spoke of his desire to play for a top club saying: ‘Nowadays, without being pretentious, I might be able to play for a bigger club, a top-five European club,’ he said.

‘I do not know… Yes, I will be part of the European top five, or I will be part of a very large club. I’m sure of what I can do. I can still be much better.’
