Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester United

According to The Express Italian Serie A side Juventus are busy trying to come up with a new contract for midfield star Paul Pogba.

The idea of offering the youngster a new contract now is not an attempt to keep him at the club, but rather a way of increasing his buyout clause so that the Italians can extort more money from either Chelsea or Manchester United when one or both of the English clubs make a bid for the Frenchman next summer.

Pogba’s current deal would allow him to leave for £40 million, and the Italians know that United would be prepared to pay nearly double that, and with his current contract not expiring till 2019, a club offering to extend a contract with four years remaining is unheard of.

It is a shame that Juventus will be able to get away with this, but then they know Pogba is a wanted man.
