Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that new signing Cesc Fabregas possesses all the attributes and quality needed to help the Blues win the Premiership title next season.
The 27-year-old midfielder became Portuguese manager Mourinho’s first signing of the summer and he is in no doubt that the former Arsenal and Barcelona playmaker has the quality to succeed at Stamford Bridge telling Star Sports:
“He is the kind of player we need – not just for his qualities as a player but also his competitive personality,” Mourinho said.
“He is a player in the best years of his career. He knows England well, he knows the Premier League well, so he will not need time to adapt.
“He is the kind of player who will come and train for a couple of weeks and be ready to prove himself.”
Currently the Spaniard is on international duty with Spain who were unable to make it out of the Group stage of the World Cup following losses to both Holland and Chile.
