Roberto Martinez has proved himself once again at a new club after taking over Everton when David Moyes left to become manager of Manchester United.

The 40-year-old Spaniard has impressed not only Wenger but others of the hierarchy over at the Emirates leading to the Daily Star saying that he is being lined up as a replacement for Arsene Wenger.

It is not only the inspired attack minded passing game that he has brought to Everton that they like, but also the dignified way he reacted to his team’s 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup last Saturday.

With the Gunners boss poise to sign a new two –year-contact at the end of the season it is believed that discussions have already been made at the club to decide whether Martinez would be a suitable replacement when the 64-year-old Frenchman decides to call it a day.

Wenger spoke of his admiration for the Everton boss earlier in the season saying: “Martinez has done remarkably well.”

Currently Everton is seventh in the premiership level on points with Manchester United.
