DONE DEAL Liverpool sign Manchester City Star

According to a source inside Anfield Manchester City star James Milner has agreed to join Liverpool in what he is calling a “done deal.”

The 29-year-old England international is out of contract at the Etihad this summer and will join Liverpool on a free transfer after Reds manager Brendan Rodgers told him that he will be allowed to run the Liverpool midfield fending of approaches from Arsenal and AS Roma according to the Daily Star.

In related news Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has already said that there will not be a huge amount of spending done by the club who went crazy last summer spending £116 million, but he has targeted three positions he needs to fill.

A midfielder a striker and a goalkeeper to either replace Simon Mignolet or at least put pressure on the Belgium for the start each week.

As for a striker the Northern Irishman is looking at Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic who he hopes he can get for around £16 million after having tried unsuccessfully to sign the Montenegrin from Fiorentina two years ago.

Jovetic instead joined City for £22 million but is now looking to move after manager Manuel Pellegrini left the 25-year-old out of City’s Champions League squad.
