Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is according to the Evening Standard putting a deal together that will see the Blues offer Atletico Madrid £30 million cash plus their former player left-back Filipe Luis in order to get Spanish international midfielder Koke to move to Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old is having a good season in La Liga and will possibly be the subject of bids from not only Chelsea but other clubs as well.

The trouble however lies in the fact he has a £44 million release clause built into his contract at the Vincente Calderon, but due to Chelsea’s good relationship with Atletico, Mourinho thinks he can sign Koke for £30 million and use Filipe Luis to make up the remaining £14 million.

As for Brazilian Luis, he will be happy to return to his former club after spending most of the season on the bench with Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta the Portuguese managers preferred choice at left-back.
