Manchester United are very close to completing their first summer transfer window signing ahead of the officially opening of the transfer window on July one. The Red Devils are set to finalise a deal with Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for the signing of centre-forward Vincent Janssen according to a report by daily star.

Manchester United scouts have reportedly been keeping close watch on the high rated striker. United scouts were said to have attached AZ’s 4-2 defeat to PSV last weekend and were left impressed by the performance of Janssen. The Dutchman has scored in the last seven matches with AZ.

Just 21 years, has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie this season. In 44 games in all competition, he has scored 25 goals which explains the reason why Manchester United may be interested in signing him. He was handed his first international cap by the Netherland during the last international break which shows his stellar form with his club hasn’t gone unnoticed. He scored one ( from the penalty spot ) and assisted his team mate Luciano Narsingh against England.

Everton and PSG are said to also be interested in the player but if Daily star are to be believed, the Red Devils have emerged as as the favorites to sign Janssen and will hope to reach an agreement with both the player and his club before the transfer window officially opens in July.
