Burnley striker Danny Ings has turned down the chance to join David Moyes at Real Sociedad in favour of a summer move to Liverpool.

Ings flew out to Spain in a private jet earlier in the month to discuss a possible move to la Liga after his contract at Turf Moor finishes this summer, and if he had decided to join the Spanish outfit the most Burnley would have got is around £300,000 where as opting for the Merseyside club will see the Lancashire club net a cool £6 million.

The 22-year-old hot shot apparently made up his mind to move to Anfield after the Reds courted him this January despite the fact other clubs including Chelsea were interested in him.

A deal could have been completed then, as Burnley would not let him leave until the end of the season while they fight to avoid relegation.
