Chelsea striker Loic Remy concedes that he has never been at a club with a will to win like Chelsea has, even after they have given away an eight point lead.

Chelsea play the French striker’s former club Newcastle United Saturday afternoon tied with Manchester City at the top of the Premiership, but Remy says the team’s self-belief is as strong as ever.

“I played for different teams, good teams like Marseille and Lyon in France, and I never felt the motivation as much as it is here,” said Remy.

“To be honest, on the inside of the camp, I can feel the energy within the group. Even at training, my team-mates want to win every time.

“When we are playing little games between us, they want to win, when we are doing retention drills in a circle, no one wants to lose the ball. You can see these are little details but at the end this is what can make the difference.

“I was very surprised when I saw how strong it [the motivation] is at Chelsea, that’s why I’m very happy to be here and excited to play games and win titles at this club.
