Soon to be dethrone Premier league champions Chelsea seem to be ready to make an onslaught on the Premier league next season. The Blues have been linked to the signing of various players in different positions ever since Antonio Conte was announced as Chelsea’s manager starting from the end of the 2016 European Championship.

As they say, there is no smoke without fire and the reports of Chelsea going all out in the summer transfer window can’t be all lies. This time, the Blues are been linked to the hijacking of the reported Manchester City’s move for PSG star Javier Pastore. The Argentine is reportedly wanted at City by incoming manager Pep Guardiola but Chelsea will now attempt to hijack the move.

With a cloud of doubt still hanging on the heads of Eden Hazad and Oscar, Chelsea could do with the signing of someone like Javier Pastore. The Argentine who has 36 goals and 43 assists in 205 appearances for PSG in all competition is no longer consider a first eleven player at PSG. He has mostly been a bench warmer this season and will seek to leave the French capital club this summer.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City were said to be the closest to the signing of the South American, but according to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea have now jumped ahead of City by commencing negotiation with the representatives of the player.

Reportedly earning £85,000 a week, Chelsea will have no problem doubling his wage and so will City. But Chelsea may edge City to his signing as the Blues will be able to offer him a better chance of playing regularly which is something City can’t guarantee considering the calibre of their players.
