British sports radio show talkSport are reporting today that Chelsea is ready to make a third bid for the Manchester United Striker.

So far the Premier League champions have rejected two bids from Chelsea for the England international, but with Coach Jose Mourinho saying that Rooney is the only player he is interested in signing this summer the Blues will not give up in their attempts to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old has decided that he wants to leave Old Trafford following a series of events  which included a rift with former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson at the end of last season, and then this summer new manager David Moyes referred to him as a back-up for star striker Robin van Persie.

The want to get away striker appears to be doing all he can to facilitate a move to Chelsea having pulled out of the clubs trip to Sweden where they will play friendly against AIK Stockholm on Wednesday.

The strikers excuse is a so called shoulder injury that he says he picked up while playing against Real Betis last Saturday.
