Sky Italia is reporting that Chelsea has opened talks with Atletico Madrid for their talented Spanish international midfielder Koke.
The 23-year-old had been the focus of quite a few Chelsea scouting trips these past few months with Blues boss Jose Mourinho being a huge admirer of the immensely popular player who now looks like he could become the big summer signing Chelsea fans have been looking for.
Adding to the speculation is talk that Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis is open to a move back to his former club after failing to be a regular starter in the Portuguese manager’s team.
This would ease the burden of a huge transfer fee, as Atletico will be looking to get offers in the region of £46 million for one of their best players.
