According to The Metro, Chelsea are interested in sigining PSG attacking midfielder Javier Pastore in the summer.

The Argentine was signed by PSG  from Palermo and has gone on to play 175 appearances in all competitions scoring 34 goals and registering 35 assists. While Pastore remained an undisputed starter for the club since his €39 million move from Palermo in 2011, things suddenly changed for him this season after the summer acquisition of contryman Angel Di Maria by PSG  from Manchester United.

To this effect, the 26-year-old was restricted to just nine starts and five substitute appearances in the leagye this season. Injuries have not also helped his course for a return to the starting 11.

Pastore is seen as a decent acquisition by the Stamford Bridge side as his elegant and creative technique will supplement the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Cesc Fabregas helping to unlock difficult opponents who play a much defensive game.

At 26, Pastore clearly has not reached his prime and might come at an exorbitant fee as his current deal at the Parc de Princes is set to expire in 2016. Chelsea are due for a busy summer as Antonio Conte is expected to sign certain players to add bite to his team.
