Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been given the green light to make a massive summer signing for the Blues after the club revealed they had received a massive £40 million addition to their Financial Fair Play cash reserves.

In recent weeks Chelsea has been linked with Argentinian ace Lionel Messi following reports that he is ready to leave the Nou Camp, and to stoke the fire he was just spotted a couple of weeks ago in London with Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Despite manager Jose Mourinho saying that it would be difficult to sign one of the world’s best players given his £181 million release clause the Daily Telegraph reports the deal is now possible.

The Blues boss has apparently been told he can now go after Messi or Juventus star Paul Pogba now that £40 million has been added to the FFP pot thanks to new sponsorship deals.
