With reports coming out of Spain suggesting that Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is not happy at the club, both Manchester City and Chelsea are considering a January bid for the man who has long been linked with a move to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.
Benzema is a favourite of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and is the main reason Los Blanco’s refused to listen to offers in the summer for the 28-year-old French international.
Since the summer things have changed drastically with Benzema being involved in the Matthieu Valbuena sex tape scandal, with allegations that he was trying to black mail his fellow countryman for the tape leading to criminal charges being filed.
Benzema has denied all the charges levelled against him, but is upset with his Real Madrid teammates for what he perceives to be a lack of support says the Daily Mirror, which opens up talk of a move to the Premiership.
