Burnley striker Danny Ings was one of the big deadline day stories being linked with a move to either Liverpool or Spain’s Real Sociedad.

Liverpool’s £4 million deal for the 22-year-old fell through over the weekend due to the fact that they would not have been able to loan Ings back to struggling Burnley for the rest of the season as it contravened Premier League rules.

As for joining David Moyes at Real Sociedad, it looks like it will not happen with the England U-21 player preferring to move to Anfield when his contract with the Clarets is up in the summer.
