Liverpool has received a transfer boost after learning that Paris Saint-Germain is prepared to let Argentinian forward Ezequiel Lavezzi leave the club this month.

Lavezzi has been trying to leave the Parc des Princes for some time, with Liverpool following events closely.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could make a move after reports in reports in French newspaper Le Parisien say that manager Laurent Blanc wants Lavezzi gone as soon as possible after failing to turn up for the clubs winter training camp in Morocco, preferring instead to be on the beaches of Punta del Este in Uruguay.

Quite a few clubs has shown an interest in the 29-year-old and with Blanc now ready to sell any reasonable offer would be considered.
