Manchester United has not learned from their recent mistakes drawing 0-0 with Cambridge United in the fourth-round of the FA Cup according to manager Louis van Gaal.

Van Gaal said he was happy with the second half, but the first 45 minutes United played in the same style as their opponents.

“We made the same errors as against Yeovil and Queens Park Rangers because we played in the same playing style as our opponents,” Van Gaal said when speaking to talkSPORT.

“In the second half we played much better, we played along the floor and that is a different style of play.

“It was a pity that we had to wait until half time, but in the second half I was pleased with the performance.”

The Dutchman agreed with Cambridge manager Richard Money praising the way Cambridge went about their task of containing United.

“I have to give credit to this club, Cambridge United, because they played very well, they were well organised with heart and they fought until the end,” he said.

“We are still in the cup and that is the most important thing.”
