Bookies slash odds on Belgium international Striker signing for Manchester United

All the leading bookmakers in the U.K. have today slashed their odds on Everton striker Romelu Lukaku moving to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are in need of a top striker and with all the top goal scorers in Europe already happy where they are, their clubs touting astronomical figures for them to leave it would appear as if Manchester United is now taking a leaf at of Liverpool’s book and going for a reasonably priced front-man who has already proven himself in the Premiership.

It may not just be that the striker LVG really want to bring to Old Trafford is not available, but the fact United spent a British record £59.7 million for Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria only to see the 27-year-old Argentinian international fail to adapt to the physicality of the English game, something that the 22-year-old Lukaku has already proved capable of.

Sky Bet have slashed odds from 6/1 to 7/4 on the move materialising, which could suggest that the prospect of a bid from United is definitely on the cards, while as a side note new signing Memphis Depay hinted at it today with a cryptic Instagram post.
