Sky Sports is this morning reporting that talks between Liverpool and Aston Villa are on-going with Belgium international Christian Benteke still to undergo a medical at Melwood.
Liverpool has met Aston Villa’s £32.5 million asking price, but it is now unlikely that a deal will be completed in time for the 24-year-old to link up with the team on their pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East.
