The very much sought after Lille star Eden Hazard was aware the City boss Roberto Mancini was watching him play on Sunday.
A week earlier City’s rivals Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson was in France to watch Hazard play.
The 21-year-old is expected to leave Lille this summer, and with both heavy-weight Manchester sides wanting him it could develop in to a bidding war between them, and a host of other clubs including Arsenal.
Mancini certainly won’t be disappointed in what he saw with Lille beating Valenciennes 4-0.
Hazard told the French television station canal + “I was aware that Roberto Mancini was there,”
“The manager (Rudi Garcia) told me… I wasn’t thinking about it. I was trying to play to the best of my abilities.
“We’ll see later. I’m concentrating on Lille this season.”
