German giants Bayern Munich are looking to bring some fresh blood to the Allianz Arena this summer and see Manchester United’s £59.7 million record signing Angel Di Maria as a possible summer signing.
The 27-year-old started his life at Old Trafford well, but a dramatic drop in form during the second-half of the season has seen the Argentinian international spending more time on the bench, and with his future now looking bleak as manager Louis van Gaal brings in player like Memphis Depay, the Bavarian club is willing to offer Di Maria an escape route out of Old Trafford.
Sky Sports Germany pundit Uli Koehler said: ‘Bayern is thinking about getting fresh blood and Angel Di Maria of Manchester United is one of the names.’
‘Bayern are chasing him for next season.’
Bayern could provide Di Maria with a good opportunity, and with van Gaal saying he would sell Di Maria if he asked to leave it might be something the player needs to consider.
