Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has agreed a move to Anfield according to Swiss newspaper Blick.

The two clubs however have still not come to an agreement as to a fee for the Swiss international.

Liverpool was interested in signing Shaqiri last summer but in the end signed Adam Lallana from Southampton, but now that Steven Gerrard has announced he will be leaving for the MLS, Liverpool are once more after the 23-year-old.

Blick claims that Shaqiri gave the go ahead for a move last summer, but that Bayern got cold feet and decided not to let him leave.

Shaqiri is desperate to get more playing time than he currently gets I Pep Guardiola’s team and wants to move to Merseyside.

Blick also claims Liverpool are struggling to come up with the £16 million that they were willing to pay last summer possibly due to financial fair play rules.
