Barcelona’s new man in charge of transfers Ariedo Braida says he would like to re-sign the Chilean international for Barcelona following his displays for Arsenal this season.
All the sports newspapers in Spain have lamented the Catalan clubs decision to let the 26-year-old forward leave after having watched him score 18 goals for the Gunners in 32 matches.
Barcelona sold Alexis to Arsenal last summer for £30 million and now Barca’s transfer boss says he would like him back.
‘I’d like Sanchez at any club I’m at,’ he told El Mercurio.
‘I know him a lot but I don’t know what reasons the club had to let him go, but now Sanchez is one of the best in the Premier League and is at a top level in world football.’
‘Sanchez is a great player, one of the world’s best in his position. I know him a lot, has an exquisite technique.’
Arsenal fans need not worry that their star player might be going back to the Nou Camp this summer at least, as the Catalan giants are banned from buying or selling any players until the end of 2015.
