It would appear as though the bad boy of football’s reputation has convinced many teams to turn their back on the talented Italian international except for Arsenal who will try and sign him for £25 million rather than the £30 million AC Milan is asking after having found out that they are the only club showing an interest in the 24-year-old.

The Star on Sunday is this morning reporting that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will meet with Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola in Brazil this weekend as Raiola looks to secure a contract worth £150,000 per-week for his client.

During recent matches including the one against England in which Balotelli scored the winning goal he has proven that he can play in a wide attacking role, or upfront as a lone central striker.

Former Gunners player Ray Parlour thinks that Balotelli could prove to be a very good signing for the north London club and that Arsene Wenger is more than capable of keeping him on the straight and narrow saying: “Arsene is a very good man- manager and if you have any sort of problem he’s easy to go and see.”

Parlour is also certain that Wenger will not stand in the way of Thomas Vermaelen moving to Manchester United adding: “If an offer comes in from a club like Man United, then it’s hard for the club to say, ‘No, you can’t go there, we want to sell you to a club in Italy or Spain’.”
