After the defeat away to Napoli in the Champions League, and a string of bad results the man who thinks he is never wrong must now try and lift the spirits of the team, and fight for that all important fourth place finish in the Premiership.

AVB doing damage control
He even thinks that the Blues can come back against the Serie A side when they meet at Stamford Bridge for the second leg.
Here is what Chelsea boss AVB had to say: “The objective now is to limit the damage and to get to fourth position in the league and maybe third eventually.
“There is a big battle between fourth and seventh and it will change weekend to weekend.
“If Arsenal can beat Tottenham and we win we are only seven points behind with one game against them to play so let’s wait and see.”
The 34-year-old Villas-Boas also added: “I have spoken to the people who are close to the owner and he is disappointed with the result and asking questions about how we set up the team, which were duly explained.
“But there are still 90 minutes to play and we strongly believe that we can turn the tie.
“I don’t have any regrets regarding team selection. The team selection is the one that I feel is best for the team at that moment.
“I would always have started that game with a second striker and I chose Juan Mata behind Didier Drogba — the team was well set up.”
