Now that Arsenal’s star players have all departed for international duty, manger Arsene Wenger has plenty of time to weigh up which transfer moves he would like to make in January, that would aid the Gunners in their chances of winning the Premier League title.

Wenger was very quiet during the summer transfer window only signing goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea, but as the club starts to show that they are serious title contenders Wenger most spend in January to bolster the team.

With that in mind, another attempt to lure Karim Benzema to the Emirates may be on the cards following the French striker’s talk of not being happy with Real Madrid trainer Rafa Benitez for continually substituting him in games.

Another name mentioned over the summer and a much more likely option than Karim Benzema is Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kokorin, with reports in Spain suggesting that the 24-year-old is top of Arsene Wenger’s transfer wish list, and while he may not be Gooners first choice striker he would certainly be a valuable addition to the team in January.
