Arsenal is apparently ready to sign former Tottenham player Kevin-Prince Boateng from Bundesliga side Schalke after reports suggested the 27-year-old midfielder was free to leave the club this summer for £10 million.

Boateng has just 18-months remaining on his contract, and despite the fact he has not scored in 16 appearances this season, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger sees him as a player that is in his prime who he can sign for a reasonable fee.

Inter Milan has also been mentioned as a possible destination for German born Ghanaian international, but so far at least the odds point in Arsenals favour.
