Arsenal appears to be serious in their effort to bring Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling to the Emirates with a sensational offer of Theo Walcott plus £20 million cash for the 20-year-old forward.

The Gunners would like to sign the £50 million rated England international this summer and have been encouraged by his refusal to sign a new contract at Anfield with reports now saying that a possible deal between the clubs can be done.

Walcott is also involved in his own contract negotiations at the Emirates, yet now finds himself spending more time on the bench than on the pitch after having been out injured for most of the season.

This could be a move that would interest Liverpool as with Walcott they would be getting a player that would fit into Sterling’s role at the club while also being able to use the spare cash for other areas of the team that need strengthening.
