Liverpool is considering making a move to hijack West Hams plans to make on-loan defender Carl Jenkinson’s a permanent feature at Upton Park.

After having made 25 starts for the Hammers this season it is being assumed by everyone that Sam Allardyce will try and keep the England U-21 international by making a deal with his parent club Arsenal in the off-season.

All these plans could no be thwarted with the Sun reporting that Brendan Rodgers sees the 23-year-old as a replacement for Glen Johnson who appears as if his time at Anfield is coming to an end.

With young Hector Bellerin having such a good season at the Emirates it is believed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told Jenkinson he is free to leave the club over the summer.
