Arsenal is preparing to bid £6 million for tough tackling Espanyol defender Hector Moreno according to the Daily Express but could face tough opposition from Tottenham with manager Mauricio Pochettino knowing him well from his time at AZ and Espanyol.
The 26-year-old Mexican international has been looking to leave his current club with the players agent Eduardo Hernandez previously saying: “Moreno is leaving Espanyol. He wants to leave and we’re looking for another team in Europe.”
Arsenal scouts have been tracking Moreno for months, and after being impressed by the centre-back the club is now prepared to offer La Liga side Espanyol their asking price of £6 million.
