You would think that after having sent a player out on loan five times Arsenal would finally decide that there is not a place for him at the Emirates and sell.
This is the position the club currently finds themselves in with Costa Rican international forward Joel Campbell, who after not being afforded a place in Arsene Wenger’s squad keeps being sent out on loan one season after the next.
It would appear now though, that Arsenal is finally prepared to sell the 23-year-old with Italian Serie A side Palermo interested in paying £3.5 million.
Arsenal has said the price they want is £7 million, which is probably why other clubs Campbell was being linked to such as David Moyes Real Sociedad have all of a sudden gone quiet.
As things stand the most likely outcome will be another loan move with the team signing him being given the option to buy for £7 million next summer.
