Arsenal supporters are being warned that some of the team’s top players are looking to leave the club in the summer according to respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, who has turned anti-Wenger and gone on the offensive after Arsenal’s loss to Monaco midweek.

In his latest column for Sports newspaper AS, the Spaniard suggests that the Arsenal players ‘lack modern guidance both emotionally and tactically’.

As he describes the clubs financial situation as amazing , he thinks that compared to other top Premiership clubs Arsenal ‘have been left on the lawn, ‘and the reason for it is all down to Arsene Wenger.

Despite the fact Arsenal has qualified for Europe’s top competition for 17 years straight Balague believes that the reason the club is not able to compete with Europe’s best is due to the fact Wenger does not know when to quit and let a new man take the reins

‘Certainly the financial situation is a miracle, but they have been left behind on the lawn,’ wrote Balague.

‘What is worse is that it is becoming a graveyard for players and this summer, as usual, their best players will be seeking to leave.

‘They are already 17 years in a row in Europe, and it seems they have not learned anything.’

He added: ‘Wenger will decide when to leave, and that is, above all, the big problem.’
