Arsenal is now the favourites to sign Morgan Schneiderlin according to Duncan Castles of the Sunday Times who says the 25-year-old defensive midfielder has told friends he would rather move to London and play for Arsenal rather than move up north and join Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already had a £20 million bid rejected by Southampton, and this latest news will not please Louis van Gaal, after the Dutchman had earmarked the French international to replace Michael Carrick.
What is also thought to be a factor in Schneiderlin’s decision is Arsenal’s style of play to which he feels he is better suited, and while all this news is well and good for Gunners fans, manger Arsene Wenger is yet to make a move for the former Strasbourg player.
