According to Spanish sports newspaper AS Atletico Madrid has failed in their attempt to sign Barcelona winger Pedro.
The Spanish capital team wants to make two big-name signings this summer and one of their intended targets was Pedro, who slipped down the pecking order at Barcelona last season after the arrival of Luis Suarez from Liverpool.
According to AS, Atletico boss Diego Simeone gave the green light for the club to move for Pedro, but the Spain international does not want to move to the Vincente Calderon.
AS adds that Pedro will seek a move away from La Liga if he leaves Barcelona, with sources in Spain revealing on Saturday that both Arsenal and Liverpool have sounded out his camp over the past week.
