According to reports coming out of Italy top striker Gonzalo Higuain is fed up at Napoli and is ready to jump ship in the summer.

The Azzurri’s weekend loss to Roma means that the only chance they have of being in the Champions League next season is to win the Europa League, and failing that the former Real Madrid man will look to leave with the Daily Express claiming that Arsenal will try and sign the 27-year-old Argentinian international.

Arsene Wenger already has a powerful front line in the form of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck but should he be able to land Higuain it would take Arsenal to the next level as he is a quality striker that his 30 goals in 60 matches for Napoli proves.

Arsenal would have to fork out around £35 million for Higuain, but it could prove to be the signing of the summer if the Gunners can pull it off.
